Taos Territorial Chair

Ca. 1880-1890

Likely a Taos area chair from the Territorial Period. The tapered spindles are associated with the Taos region. This chair formerly belonged to Ernie Blake family collection. Similar chairs have been collected in the Taos area and part of the collections of Spanish Colonial Arts Society and the Couse-Sharp Historic Site.

Condition: Rich warm finish with remnants of calcimine green paint.
