Navajo
Transitional Rug
54″ x 76″

$4,200

54″ x 76″
ca. 1890s

Condition: Excellent, looks like a new piece.

Woven in a serape style but as a rug. Early rug weavers did not know what a rug should look like, so they wove early rugs in the style of serapes and chief’s blankets, but heavier in the transitional period.
